Song Meaning and Story

This song is about the story of an artist who is trying to make it big in life. It explores the mindset of the individual who believes in his dreams and is fighting to achieve them.

Its the kind of feeling that you can have only if you’ve been on the path towards really achieving what you set out to do. If there is a goal that you have been passionate about or a purpose that you have been working towards, life presents with all kinds of challenges before it will make it a reality.

There are times when you loose hope and may feel like you won’t be able to accomplish what you set out to do. But when the passion is strong enough it keeps you going no matter what.

Because you know that you can’t settle for being average. You can’t settle to be in the herd like the rest of the sheep. You know your mind is not going to rest until you have gotten what you always wanted.

Jim Carrey put it best ‘If you give up on your dreams, what is left?’. So once you start off on the path quitting is the last thing you want to do.

A$AP Rocky’s part is about being grateful for whatever has been going in your life until now. Its about seizing the opportunities that are still in front of you and making the most of it.

Rosie’s part is about being overwhelmed with adversity but still wanting to move forward. Its about the part when you feel like you have lost but you don’t want to give up because you have come too far to quit and you can’t go back to mediocrity.

This is what the song is about. Let me know your opinions in the comments below.
