The song ‘No Love’ was released on 5th October 2010 by Eminem as part of his seventh studio album ‘Recovery’. The song features Lil Wayne and also has a sample from Haddaway’s ‘What is Love’.

Song Meaning

So, Eminem and Lil Wayne were highly successful music artists back in 2010. They are still successful today.

Lil Wayne actually became famous at the age of 12 when he was signed by Birdman and joined the Cash Money Records at that time. So, Lil Wayne was rolling in money since he was very young.

Eminem on the other hand was struggling as a rap artist before Dr. Dre signed him. Before Lil Wayne got signed even he might have struggled a little bit before making it to the mainstream.

Now, the song to me is about how Eminem and possibly Lil Wayne(more so Eminem) were doubted on, treated like nobodies because no one knew about their potential.

Eminem was even bullied in high school so he could be taking a little bit of inspiration from that time as well. Eminem talks about how he did not get any love from the industry folk as they felt he was no good.

But, Eminem eventually released hits after hits and became one of the greatest rap artists ever. So, after he achieved success people who earlier treated him like dirt wanted to be in good terms with him.

The song references karma and how people got jealous when Eminem got famous because they never thought that it could ever happen that way. Eminem does not want to join them anymore as he feels that he is now out of their league.

Review

Personally, I feel like the song is one of the best if not the best rap song of all time. This song demonstrates how talented Eminem actually is.

I feel like nowadays people look at his music and seem to have forgotten how big of a deal he was in his young days.

This song really boosts one’s adrenaline way past the roof. The flow, lyrics and the rhythm are as good as it gets. So, this was my opinion. Let me know yours in the comments.

Thank you for your patience. Have fun, take care and bye.
