So, Mark Chavez was the lead singer of Adema from 2000 to 2004. The band had undergone a lot of lineup changes with several members leaving the band and a lot of new members joining the band later.

Mark Chavez left in 2004 due to some internal conflicts and since then there have been times when he had decided to rejoin the band only to leave later.

In 2009, Mark had joined the band again and decided to leave in 2011. At the time, the reason stated was that Mark had decided to bring his wife on 2010 tour but the band disagreed with it.

Mark had reportedly told this to the band “Alright, if you think you can do this without me, you go right ahead”.

In 2017, Mark had returned to the band and they performed with him at the Whisky A Go Go on May 24, 2017. It was his first show with the band in 6 years.

After that there was no news regarding his departure till June 2019. Also, Ryan Shuck the Julien-K frontman was the replacement for Mark and has been the lead singer for the band till now.

Ryan Shuck spoke about Mark and his situation with Adema. According to him, Mark had pulled out from the band on important occasions and tours which had costed the band heavily. Mark seemed to have a lot of issues that he needed to deal with.

You have a situation with Marky(Mark) where he continually pulls the carpet out from the band and all they’ve wanted is for a singer to have his sh*t together. I happen to be that guy, you know the multiple singers they’ve had have not had their sh*t together.
