Derrick Rose is an NBA player and he is currently playing for the New York Knicks. While he is not that popular anymore and plays a little better than average with stats like 12 ppg, 3 rpg and 4 apg in the current season there was a time when Derrick Rose was considered to be one of if not the best player in the game.

Derrick Rose was drafted as the number 1 pick by the Chicago Bulls in 2008. He won Rookie of the Year award became an All Star the next season itself. Derrick Rose went on to win the regular season MVP over LeBron and Dwight in 2010-11 season. He had a great run with the Chicago Bulls in the playoffs, however they lost to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Chicago Bulls had the best record in the NBA regular season with 62 wins and 20 losses. Derrick was only 22 years old at the time when he won MVP making him the youngest person ever to do it.

Personally, Rose was the most entertaining player to watch in my opinion. His speed and vertical leap was crazy and he was one of the most athletic point guards of all time.

During the playoffs in 2012, Derrick got injured in the first round in Game 1 against Philadelphia 76ers. His ACL was torn and because of it he could never play the same way again. While some players are able to overcome it, Derrick relied heavily upon his athleticism because of which his performance came down.

However, he was a really good player in his time and accomplished a lot in a short period of time. Overall, I consider him the most exciting player to watch before his injury.
