Within Temptation is a symphonic metal band from Waddinxveen, South Holland, Netherlands. It was formed in April 1996 by vocalist Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt.

I came across this band sometime during 2016 or 2017 through a YouTube video which featured one of their songs. I looked into more of their songs and have been fond of their music although I don’t listen to rock/metal all that much as of now.
